The Moonstone Cultural Foundation (Holdkő Alapitvány) was established in 2014. Our main activity is experiential, creative knowledge transfer, mainly for young people, youth workers and other professionals.
Our goals include the development of specific skills and abilities of participants, such as self-awareness, self-efficancy, emotional intelligence, empathy, communication skills and creative thinking, mainly through the co-development of perceptual areas. This is always achieved through playful, experiential and practice-oriented activities. Our tools are varied, ranging from tools from different artistic fields to storytelling, symbol work and simulation.
We run sessions for children in school settings and individually, organise camps during the school holidays; run thematic clubs, workshops and training sessions for adults; run professional training courses and develop curricula; and cooperate with our Hungarian and foreign partners.
Our foundation is a multi-generational organisation, with staff of different ages and with different levels and type of experience working closely together. Our aim is to learn from each other: senior staff learn openness, flexibility, enthusiasm, youthful drive and digital tools from young people, while passing on the best of their professional knowledge and communication skills to younger people.
Our young staff are also actively involved in facilitating drama sessions as part of a peer support activity.
Currently, the Moonstone Foundation has 11 staff members.
